A webinar for professionals by

Cristen Harris, PhD, RDN, CSSD, CD, CEP, FAND

Dr. Harris explains in Part I how eating disorders don’t develop in a vacuum. They develop over the course of months and years, and are influenced by early childhood feeding practices that are common in today’s society. Using research evidence and videos, this webinar will demonstrate how and why it is crucially important to understand clients’ lived experience in regard to the feeding relationship when in recovery from an eating disorder, so that practitioners are better-equipped to treat this challenging client population.

In Part II Dr. Harris will offer practical tips and tools for the assessment and treatment of eating disorders in both adolescents and adults using the framework of the Satter models and the Hierarchy of Food Needs. Practitioners will gain new insight in how to apply Satter principles when working with this challenging client population.
